   General information
 
Green Gold workshop is an international workshop which is organized in Hyrynsalmi, Finland on June 2012.
 
Workshop wants to raise discussion on different kind of global environmental problems, such as climate change, from the perspective of forests. Forests play a significant role in worlds eco-system but also in different cultures and personal significations. Therefore workshop also allows participants to explore and reflect their personal relationship with forest and nature in the means of creative art. During the workshop, the participants will get new information on forests as well as an opportunity to experience old primeval forest in north-east of Finland. Learning experiences and materials are gathered as texts and pictures to project website.
 
The workshop is located in Hyrynsalmi (Kainuu province), in the North East Finland, by our host Nature and Art Centre Mustarinda. The group is formed by 15 participants from different European countries. See more detailed information on section: Practical information.
 
Workshop is organized by Green Cultural and Educational Centre Visio. Visio is a training organization for adults with special concern on issues that relate sustainability and active citizenship. See more: www.visili.fi.
 
 

   About Grundtvig Workshops
 
 
The workshop is a part the European Commission's Lifelong Learning Programme Grundtvig and therefore all expenses are covered by European Commission. Citizens of the country where the workshop takes place are eligible to participate in the workshop but cannot be funded through the Grundtvig Programme. Grundtvig Workshops are one of the actions in the Grundtvig Programme which have been launched in 2009. The objective of this action is to enable adult learners to participate in Workshops taking place in another European country participating in the Lifelong Learning Programme.
